Behavior Health Technician

About the role

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT). Our ideal candidates are compassionate, patient, and dedicated to helping children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, and behavioral challenges.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful connections with children and their families.
• Deliver individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, focusing on communication, social skills, and daily living skills.
• Use positive reinforcement and no restraints to teach and encourage desired behaviors.
• Work directly under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement personalized treatment plans.
• Record and track progress using data collection, celebrating every milestone.
• Collaborate with families and team members to provide consistent, compassionate care.
• Absenteeism: Reliable transportation and ability to travel to multiple work sites (clinic, schools, or homes).
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living and toileting.
• Provide constructive feedback to help clients achieve their best potential.
• Lift 50 lbs and move from sitting to standing position.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children (special education, Autism experience, Applied Behavior Analysis is a plus).
• High School Diploma or equivalent, or a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a child or mental health-related field.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible to adapt and thrive in dynamic environments.

Pay and Schedule

$18.50 - $23.00 per hour, Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, with optional evening hours until 6:30 PM for social groups.

Schedule

No less than 30 hours per week, with optional additional hours for extra pay.
