Behavior Assistant or DSP

About the role

Responsible for providing direct support services in a residential setting. Duties include assisting with daily living activities, medication management, and promoting independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene and grooming tasks
• Monitor and record vital signs as needed
• Manage medications and assist with dosing
• Support residents in engaging in social and recreational activities
• Document resident progress and communicate with supervisors

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
• Pass a background check and criminal history review

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR
