We're seeking a dedicated Behavior Assistant to join our team and provide individualized support that helps children build positive behaviors, develop essential skills, and thrive in a nurturing learning environment. Key areas of responsibility Partner with the Behavior Specialist to implement program-wide and child-specific strategies and procedures.Use reflective practices to support teachers in the consistent and accurate implementation of program-wide and child-specific strategies and procedures.Maintain accurate documentation of mental health services for children.Provide training on program-wide and child-specific strategies and procedures.Complete a minimum of 15 clock hours of professional development per year.Other duties as designed. Requirements Qualifications A minimum of a high school diploma. RBT Certification (Registered Behavior Technician) or ability to earn certification within four weeks of hire. Experience working with young children (0-5) in educational or mental health settings.Strengths-based, non-punitive approach to behavior. Knowledge of social-emotional development and trauma-informed care.Bilingual English Spanish preferred. Pass a criminal history, background, and sex offender registry check. A driver’s license, auto insurance, reliable transportation, and a safe driving record. Complete an employment physical exam.Be available to travel to centers throughout the service area and agency. Be available to occasionally work evenings and weekends as required.
