About the role
Damar is a mission-driven organization providing behavioral health and I/DD services since 1967. We seek Behavior Analyst Trainees to join our ABA team, focusing on developing skills for future Program Manager roles.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a support person for clients and staff
- Participate in fieldwork supervision meetings and assignments
- Support behavior analysts with caseload management tasks
- Assist with assessments such as EFL, VBMAPP, ESDM, etc.
- Absorb and contribute to ongoing training initiatives
- Provide direct therapy for an average of 30-35 hours per week
- Mentor new ABA therapists
- Attend and contribute to clinical meetings
- Actively participate in supervision meetings
- Ensure ABA therapists understand new and previously trained interventions or procedures
- Use BST to train, model, observe, etc.
- Perform RBT Competency Assessments
- Support behavior analysts with initial or reauthorization reports, treatment planning, and Central Reach Learning Tree setup
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 6 months previous experience with autism spectrum disorders
- RBT required
- Coursework and/or enrollment in supervision towards BCaBA or BCBA certification required
- Minimum age of 18 per licensure requirements
- Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record meeting eligibility requirements
- Clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect, or other disqualifying criminal convictions
- Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening
Qualifications
- Must be acquiring the first half/second half of the current BACB requirement for fieldwork supervision
Skills
- Knowledge of ABA principles
- Ability to perform RBT Competency Assessments
- Proficiency in using various tools for behavior analysis
- Strong communication and mentoring skills
