Before and After School Teacher Assistant

About the role

As an AlphaBEST Group Leader Assistant, you'll assist with daily curriculum activities such as World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts. Your primary responsibility is to encourage positive peer interactions and ensure child safety at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily curriculum activities
• Encourage positive peer interactions
• Make child safety the top priority
• Keep the space clean and organized
• Create an inclusive environment for kids
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
• Able to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
• Pass a Background Screening and Central Registry check

Pay and Schedule

• Hourly rate: $14.00-$15.00
• No weekends
• Part-time (mornings and/or afternoons)
• Before-school hours: 6:00-9:15 AM
• After-school hours: 3:00-6:30 PM
