About the Role

AlphaBEST Education provides extended day, summer, and enrichment programs designed to inspire and engage students beyond the school day in a fun, safe environment. As an AlphaBEST Group Leader you will help shape meaningful after‑school moments that help kids learn, grow, and thrive.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts) while encouraging positive peer interactions.
• Make child safety the top priority at all times.
• Keep the space clean and organized.
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included.
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff.

Requirements

• One of the following qualifications:
  • CDA or an associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field, plus 2 years of experience with children.
  • An associate’s degree (including 30 credit hours) in the same fields, plus 3 years of experience with children.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds).

Education

• Elementary Education, Special Education, or Early Child Care Education (associate’s or bachelor’s degree).
• Human Services field degrees (e.g., social work, psychology, sociology, criminal justice, human development/family studies, counseling, mental health counseling, nursing‑health sciences, human service management, home economics/family and consumer sciences).
• Other degrees require 30 additional credit hours in elementary education, early child care education, or special education.

Pay

$17.00‑$20.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, either the AM shift (7 am – 9 am) or the PM shift (3 pm – 6 pm), or both.
