Before and After School Group Leader

Location(s): Warren Elementary Schools

Pay: $19.00/hour

Hours: 7:00–8:30 am & 2:30–6:30 pm

About the role

AlphaBEST Education provides extended-day, summer, and enrichment programs designed to inspire and engage students while they discover and learn beyond the school day in a fun, safe environment. As an AlphaBEST Group Leader, you’ll help shape meaningful before- and after-school moments that help kids learn, grow, and thrive. This role is ideal for students studying Education, Child Development, Psychology, Social Work, Recreation, or Youth Development.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts).
• Make child safety the top priority at all times and follow procedures closely.
• Keep the space clean and organized.
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included.
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds).
• Enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment.
• Flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever needed.
