About the role

At Indeed Brewing Company, we’re cultivating an artfully eclectic lineup of beers from the heart of Northeast Minneapolis. Our taprooms are warm, welcoming, and home to Indeed We Can, the company’s employee-driven charitable giving program, which supports an employee-sponsored local nonprofit every month. The Indeed Brewing taproom experience begins with a spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed space, hosted by knowledgeable people who provide an exceptional personal connection by remaining constantly in motion and excessively thoughtful to our guests.

Responsibilities

• Properly pour beers, and fill growlers and crowlers
• Engage customers positively and consistently exceed customer expectations
• Maintain a clean and orderly taproom
• Accurately check IDs
• Accurately ring in orders and handle cash properly
• Exhibit a sense of urgency
• Multitask and use critical thinking skills
• Problem solve independently
• Other duties as assigned, including working festivals, private events, and conducting tours
• Exemplify the qualities of an Indeed Experience Maker (well-appointed space, knowledgeable, personal, always in motion, and thoughtful)

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience with, and enthusiasm and passion for, craft beer and the industry
• Previous bartending or service industry experience is a plus
• Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations with a smile
• Cicerone Certified Beer Server certification
• Afternoon, evening, and weekend availability required

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Stand and walk for extended periods of time (around 4-5 hours)
• Lift up to 50 pounds with assistance
• Crouch, kneel, and bend periodically
• Perform repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists frequently, including grasping, pulling, and reaching

Pay

Competitive pay of $11.25/hour plus tips.

Schedule

Part-time hours per week depending on business needs. Afternoon, night, and weekend shifts.
