The Nordstrom Beauty Department seeks to enhance its customers' confidence and style. As a Beauty Counter Manager, you will play a key role in creating personalized beauty experiences, collaborating with the team to foster an inclusive environment, and driving sales growth.
Responsibilities
- Conduct makeup applications, skincare analyses, and product recommendations based on customer needs
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a welcoming and inclusive shopping experience
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales targets, leveraging both in-store and digital selling tools
- Manage vendor events and promotions, building strong relationships with brands
- Keep the department organized and customer-ready, ensuring cleanliness and readiness
- Stay updated on the latest beauty trends, products, and industry insights through training programs
- Manage sales transactions, handle returns, exchanges, and encourage customer loyalty by promoting the Nordstrom Rewards program
Requirements
- Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to connect with customers and address concerns
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Drive to meet sales goals and utilize networking and technology
- Flexible schedule, capable of working evenings and weekends as needed
- High level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
Qualifications
- Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching
- Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
- Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally

Pay
The pay range for this role is $27.20 - $28.30 hourly, with commissions varying based on the merchandise sold. For Los Angeles or San Francisco applicants, please note that background checks are conducted after conditional offers and consideration is given for qualified applicants with criminal histories.
