About the role

As a Nordstrom Rack team member you will thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment, continuously moving and collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all customers. You’ll ensure a quick and easy customer experience while keeping the store clean and clutter‑free, and you may work in different areas of the store to maintain floor and stockroom cleanliness and help customers find great deals.

Responsibilities

• Work with the team to keep the sales floor “runway ready,” re‑merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
• Assist customers at the register with a variety of transactions across in‑store, online, and mobile platforms, operating the point‑of‑sale system, bagging items of all sizes, handling bulky items, and ensuring a seamless, friendly experience.
• Create a smooth fitting‑room experience by greeting and assisting customers, sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
• Maintain a clean, clutter‑free customer environment by sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
• Keep stockrooms organized, ensure merchandise is properly checked in, and accurately ticketed.
• Demonstrate expertise in all store technologies.
• Adhere to operational, merchandise, and asset‑protection standards.
• Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.

Requirements

• Clear, effective communication with strong interpersonal skills.
• Accountability, initiative, and a high level of ownership.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Physical ability to continuously move for 6‑8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Capability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including lifting items above the head.
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 lb and occasionally up to 25 lb.

Pay

$18.80 – $19.60 hourly (pay ranges may vary by location and are dependent on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience).
