About the role
Battle AFB Base Telecommunications System O&M Landing Page (BAFB-26062) offers operations and maintenance of telecommunications systems to ensure reliable voice, video, and data services. This includes managing the base telephone switch, outside and inside plant infrastructure, and related systems.
Responsibilities
- Operate and sustain the base telephone switch and other infrastructure
- Maintain billing capability using Government Purchase Card (GPC)
- Ensure accurate system records and compliance with Air Force and DoD standards
- Support mission-driven changes through infrastructure upgrades, network reconfigurations, and cabling installations
- Provide flexible, responsive support during exercises and real-world events in coordination with the Communications Squadron

Qualifications
- Basic level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical demands: must be able to lift up to 10 to 25 pounds, stand and walk for prolonged periods, twist, bend, and squat periodically
Skills
- BICSI Installer 1; Installer 2, Copper; Installer 2, Optical Fiber; Technician, OSP Credential, Switch make and model trained/certified
- Security Plus certification
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- Physical fitness and safety certifications (climbing experience, PPE use, lockout/tagout, RF awareness, rigging, special equipment operation)
