About the role
The beach/pool attendant is responsible for overseeing the pool area, making safety announcements and maintaining an inventory of all poolside equipment to be always available for guest use. Experienced in the Hospitality Industry, serves residents by providing information and services.
Responsibilities
- Oversees pool area (adult/children) and makes safety announcements.
- Assists with set up and breakdown for poolside activities as needed.
- Submits and reports incidents to the appropriate manager.
- Provides service-oriented assistance to residents and guests.
- Picks up debris from the pool and performs basic cleaning tasks.
- Checks sports equipment to ensure it is in order for guest use.
- Reports broken sports equipment to the manager for replacement.
- Works as a team member.
- Remains accessible and approachable to residents/guests.
- Follows the Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and carries out appropriate procedures.
- Adheres to safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
- Completion of college-level courses in Hospitality is strongly desirable.
- Two (2) or more years’ experience in the Hospitality Industry.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Multiple language fluency is desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours and weekends.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 30 – 50 lbs.
- Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time.
- Walk and climb stairs.
- Handle, finger, grasp, and feel objects and equipment.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information verbally and in writing.
- Navigate the property/building quickly and easily as required.
- Respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
