Job Summary
Primary Responsibilities
- Greet guests in the beach and pool area ensuring the area is clean and properly set up prior to the opening.
- Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the day.
- Order, deliver, and clear food and beverage items accurately using the POS system.
- Check station setup before, during, and after shift for proper cleanliness.
- Retrieve and confirm orders with kitchen staff, then deliver to guests.
- Follow State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests.
- Set up, maintain, and break down the pool and beach areas.
- Provide pool and beach side service as scheduled.
- Inform guests about club facilities, policies, and procedures.
- Issue towels to beach and pool guests.
- Check and straighten ladies (or men's) changing rooms and seaside pools regularly.
- Maintain and clean pool or beach areas, sweep beach huts and surrounding areas.
- Straighten chairs on beach and pool, process vouchers for towels not returned.
- Maintain and organize beach equipment: chairs, cushions, cabanas, umbrellas, etc.
- Comply with Fisher Island Club standards, policies, and procedures.
- Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required
- Comply with Fisher Island Club standards, policies, and procedures.
- Show genuine care for co-workers and guests.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Proficient in the English language (verbal & written).
- Handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced, intense, and changing environment.
- Maintain a professional, clean uniform appearance and manner.
- Previous food and beverage experience in a luxury hotel setting is an asset.
- Knowledge of food and wine is an asset.
- Team player and willing to assist other Food and Beverage venues.
- Effective at handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems.
- Basic POS Systems knowledge/experience.
- Able to lift/pull/push items up to 50 pounds.
- Willing and available to work weekends and holidays.
- Food handling/Responsible vendor certificate required within 30 days of hire.
- Excellent eye for detail and multitasking ability.
- Effective at listening, understanding, and clarifying guest concerns.
- Able to work outdoors for extended periods (minimum 6-8 hour work shift).
