BDC Receptionist
About the role
This role serves as the primary point of contact for all incoming dealership calls, assisting customers, directing calls to the appropriate departments (sales, service, parts, body shop, etc.), and scheduling service appointments. You will also support daily operations through outbound follow-up, filing, and general administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Answer and manage all inbound dealership calls across departments
- Route calls efficiently to the appropriate team members
- Schedule and manage service appointments
- Make warm outbound calls (appointment reminders, follow-ups, check-ins)
- Provide general information and assist customers with questions
- Complete filing and other organizational tasks
- Aid with additional administrative duties and projects as assigned
- Respond to occasional online inquiries
- Utilize tracking/CRM systems daily
- Support service advisors and dealership staff as needed
Requirements
- Customer service experience preferred (call handling is a plus)
- Strong communication skills and professional phone presence
- Positive, dependable, team-oriented attitude
- Comfortable working at a desk for extended periods
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal systems
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Clean driving record & valid driver’s license
