About the role
We are seeking an experienced Behavior Analyst to lead clinical programming at Y.A.L.E. School Philadelphia. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Education, Psychology or a closely related field, and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification or board eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of clinical programming within Y.A.L.E. School Philadelphia’s classrooms
- Development of function-based interventions and behavior support plans
- Direct student contact and observations across multiple classrooms
- Training and supervision of teachers and teaching assistants
- Professional and collaborative work with peers and supervisory personnel
- Proactive approach to program development emphasizing student skill development and behavior management
- Work with students exhibiting complex behavior disorders, including aggressive, disruptive, and self-injurious behaviors
- Proficient in Applied Behavior Analysis and least restrictive approach to program design
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in clinical service delivery and supervision within public or private school settings
- Experience implementing evidence-based procedures for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviors
- Program management and supervising and training staff
- Works cooperatively with all members of the multidisciplinary team, teachers, families, nursing, social work, occupational therapists, speech therapists, physical therapists, etc.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Education, Psychology or closely related field
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification or board eligibility
- Approved background check requirements
- Clinical experience in crisis intervention
Skills
- Strong background in applied behavior analysis
- Experience with clinical application of applied behavior analysis
- Experience working with individuals with social emotional disorders, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders
- Experience with challenging behaviors
- Experience with evidence-based procedures for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviors
- Experience with program management and supervising and training staff
- Experience with crisis intervention
- Proven training and direct experience with behavior management strategies
- Proficiency with the science of Applied Behavior Analysis
- Effective clinical skill set emphasizing a most effective least restrictive approach towards program design
