Bay Area – Corporate Latin America Associate (Mid-Level)
About the role
We are seeking a mid-level associate to join our market-leading Corporate Latin America practice in either our Bay Area or New York offices. This role will focus primarily on sophisticated Latin American and U.S. transactions, with additional exposure to a broad range of general corporate matters.
Responsibilities
- Representing emerging companies, venture capital and private equity investors, and/or investment funds
- Experience with M&A, private equity, and ideally venture capital transactions, including representation of emerging companies and/or investment funds
- Experience advising on Latin American transactions strongly preferred
- Assume significant responsibility early and play a key role in high-profile cross-border transactions involving founders, technology companies, and investors across the markets that Gunderson serves
Requirements
- JD (2020–2021) (preferable) or LLM degree
- Corporate transactional experience and prior large law firm experience – U.S. “white shoe” law firm experience is a plus
- Experience with M&A, private equity, and ideally venture capital transactions, including representation of emerging companies and/or investment funds
- Experience advising on Latin American transactions strongly preferred
- Admission to the New York and/or California Bar required
- Spanish working proficiency required
