The Wasserstraßen- und Schifffahrtsverwaltung des Bundes is the largest employer in the business area of the Federal Ministry for Transport (BMV). Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate the deployment of teams for the maintenance of infrastructure.
• Set priorities based on the condition of structures and available resources.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities and document damages.
• Act as a liaison between the agency leadership and the technical department W.

Requirements

• A completed degree in civil engineering (FH-Diplom/Bachelor).
• Class B driving license.
• Good German language skills (Level C1).
• Physical fitness suitable for tasks in difficult terrain (e.g., construction sites), including fall risks, height sensitivity, and ability to perform driving, steering, and monitoring tasks.
• Experience in civil engineering activities such as design, construction execution, structural safety calculations, or facility maintenance (according to VV-WSV 21013 (9)).
• Practical experience in facility inspection and involvement in building inspections (according to VV-WSV 21013 (9)).
• Ability and suitability for assuming a leadership position.
• Willingness to take responsibility for team members.
• Strong knowledge in occupational health and safety topics.
• Knowledge of procurement procedures (VOB, VgV, UVgO).
• General administrative knowledge.

• Grouping of civil servants after fulfilling personal and tariff requirements in Entgeltgruppe 12 TVöD Bund.
• Additional tariff level assignment and possible additional temporary staff allowance up to 1,000 euros per month.
