Battery Technician

About the role

As a Battery Technician, you’ll be responsible for assembling, installing, inspecting, and maintaining batteries in various devices. You’ll also perform discharge tests, evaluate results, and make necessary repairs. Additionally, you’ll wash, clean, and neutralize customer batteries at their location or in the service center. You’ll repair battery charging equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Knowledge of using, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical and battery testing equipment.
• Knowledge of battery safety best practices and industry standards, related to the testing, storage, and disposal of lithium-ion and lithium primary cells and batteries.
• Physical stamina and mobility, including the ability to reach, kneel, and bend.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull required loads (usually about 30 lbs).

Travel Requirements

This position is expected to travel approximately 25% - 50%. A passport is not required, but recommended.
