Battery/Grounds Technician

Responsibilities

• Watering and maintenance of deep cycle, industrial MHE batteries at a large logistics warehouse scale
• Operational understanding and use of deep cycle battery chargers on an industrial scale
• Organized and structured rotation of batteries in pallet jacks, stand-up and sit-down forklifts, scissor lifts, cherry pickers, personal transport, and inventory equipment
• Maintenance of battery logs and records
• Operation of pallet jacks (single and double)
• Daily battery electrical wiring replacement/repairs and power plug/connector replacement
• Grounds maintenance including cleaning, tool organization, relocation of yard maintenance equipment, minor landscaping, and pressure washing for a large-scale shipping yard

Requirements

• Electrical knowledge of different voltages and initial deep cycle charging balancing (preferred)
• Experience with battery changing equipment and industrial crane/hoist (preferred)
• Understanding of MHE industrial equipment (preferred)

Pay

Starting pay rate is $24.43 per hour, not less than the local minimum wage. Additional premiums are available for swing and grave shifts.
