Requirements
- Annual medical clearance, including a comprehensive evaluation (medical history review, physical examination, vision, hearing, spirometry, and exercise treadmill test) to ensure fitness for wearing respiratory protection equipment, such as a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).
- Possession of a valid Driver License of the appropriate class issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles.
- Successful completion of Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification and maintenance of status as a Department Public Officer prior to appointment as a condition of employment.
Pay
$6,882.00 - $8,930.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
Schedule
Permanent, full-time position. In-office work location (telework not applicable).
Eligibility
Open to individuals who are currently in the classification, eligible for lateral transfer, reinstatement, have list or LEAP eligibility, are in the process of obtaining list eligibility, or have SROA and/or Surplus eligibility. SROA and Surplus candidates are given priority.
