BASIC FUNCTIONS
- Perform supply operation including preparation and setup of raw materials and equipment.
- Operation of kettles, tanks and supporting equipment used in the production of kettle soap products at the specified quantity and quality levels.
- Maintain product quality standards by observation, sampling and operating equipment necessary to monitor product quality. Take any necessary corrective action.
- Maintain the necessary production accounting records and reports to include batch card, process control, quality.
- Properly package, count and document all supplies to be returned to inventory or scrapped.
- Comply with procedures, methods, and standards in adherence with Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP).
DUTIES RELEVANT TO THE BASIC FUNCTION
- Awareness of characteristics of soap bases and raw materials, including moisture levels, additives, and techniques for incorporating these additives into the final product.
- Operating details of the production processing equipment.
- Operating details of the product handling equipment.
- General knowledge of Kettle House equipment, packaging equipment, and finished product handling equipment.
- Understanding of quality parameters as they relate to the finished product.
- Closely cooperate with other operators and managers.
- Encourage two-way communication between the Manager and the Operator on a continuing basis.
- Maintain an acceptable level of orderliness and cleanliness in areas of assigned work.
- Understand and adhere to machine safety.

B. QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in a processing environment with machinery exposure.
- High school diploma or equivalent with demonstrated knowledge consistent with that level of education.
- Capable of standing and lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Exposure to mild noise and some mild dust.
- Work in a consistent manufacturing climate environment.
