Responsibilities
- Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) in warehouse or production areas (e.g., hairnets/beard nets, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard-toe and slip/oil-resistant shoes, safety gloves, and seatbelts while operating forklifts).
- Adhere to food quality and food safety standards as per corporate, customer, and/or governing bodies (e.g., SQF).
- Comply with FDA, state/city regulations, Refresco quality policies, GMPs, HACCP, Allergen, Kosher, and other required regulations.
- Train and certify in the operation of all batching/blending equipment in your area of responsibility.
- Ensure the quality and integrity of products based on specifications to meet customer satisfaction.
- Transport ingredients and pre-weighs by forklift to and from required areas.
- Verify all ingredients against SAP, food safety, food quality, and inventory control parameters before syrup batching.
- Program bulk ingredient delivery systems.
- Follow batching/blending sheet instructions, add proper ingredients, and record amounts accurately.
- Obtain blend tank samples and deliver them to the quality laboratory for testing; follow quality department instructions for adjustments.
- Complete all required documentation for batching/blending operations and forward to QA/Blending for review.
- Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of the area throughout the shift.
- Perform CIP/COP sanitation of all batching/blending lines, tanks, and equipment as scheduled.
- Remove empty barrels and bins from the batching/blending area to designated storage or trailers.
- Receive and unload tankers of bulk concentrates as needed.
- Report all non-compliance, product protection, food safety, and personal safety issues to management.
Requirements
- High School Certification.
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience in a high-speed beverage production environment preferred.
- Formal training in SAP, HACCP, GMP, Hygiene, etc., preferred.
- Able to routinely lift 50 lbs.
- Able to perform duties in a high-stress/pressure environment.
- Sound general knowledge of mathematical skills (e.g., measurements/formulas).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Solid comprehension of production schedules and laboratory testing.
- Understanding of quality improvement, increasing efficiencies, improving yields, and eliminating out-of-specification or damaged product.
- Attention to detail.
- Obtain/sustain forklift certification.

Working Conditions
Operating in a fast-paced production plant with numerous moving parts. Noise levels require hearing protection, and temperatures can vary (laboratory and staging area are temperature-controlled). The environment is structured and supervised.
- Work Schedule: Weekdays, weekends, afternoons, evenings, overnights, and holidays may be required. Overtime scheduled as needed.
