Responsibilities
- Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and wear required PPE in warehouse/production areas (e.g., hairnets/beard nets, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard-toe and slip/oil-resistant shoes, appropriate gloves, seatbelts when operating forklifts).
- Ensure food quality and safety per corporate, customer, and governing body standards (e.g., SQF).
- Comply with FDA, state/city regulations, Refresco policies, GMPs, HACCP, Allergen, Kosher, and other applicable requirements.
- Be trained and certified in operating batching/blending equipment in your area of responsibility.
- Ensure product quality and integrity on lines per specifications to meet customer satisfaction.
- Transport ingredients and pre-weighs by forklift to/from required areas.
- Verify ingredients against SAP, food safety, food quality, and inventory control parameters before syrup batching.
- Program bulk ingredient delivery system.
- Follow batching/blending sheets, add proper ingredients, and record amounts accurately.
- Obtain blend tank samples and deliver to the quality laboratory for testing; follow QA instructions for adjustments.
- Complete required documentation for batching/blending and forward to QA/Blending for review.
- Maintain sanitation and cleaning of the area throughout the shift.
- Perform CIP/COP sanitation of batching/blending lines, tanks, and equipment as scheduled.
- Remove empty barrels and bins from batching/blending area to designated storage or trailers.
- Receive and unload tankers of bulk concentrates as needed.
- Report non-compliance, product protection, food safety, and personal safety issues to management.
Requirements
- High School Certification.
- 1–2 years of relevant manufacturing experience preferred.
Skills
- Experience in a high-speed beverage production environment preferred.
- Formal training in SAP, HACCP, GMP, Hygiene, etc., preferred.
- Ability to routinely lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform duties in a high-stress/pressure environment.
- Sound general knowledge of mathematical skills (measurements/formulas).
- Effective verbal and written English communication.
- Solid comprehension of production schedules and laboratory testing.
- Understanding of quality improvement, efficiency gains, yield optimization, and eliminating out-of-spec or damaged product.
- Attention to detail required.
- Obtain and sustain forklift certification.

Working Conditions
- Work Schedule: Weekdays, weekends, afternoons, evenings, overnight, and holidays may be required; overtime scheduled as needed.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced production plant with moving parts; hearing protection required; temperatures vary (laboratory and staging areas are temperature-controlled).
