Batch Plant Operator

Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is searching for a Batch Plant Operator for our location in Fort Pierce, FL. As a Batch Plant Operator, you’ll be responsible for but not limited to, leading the operation of equipment that mix/blend materials such as cement, aggregate and water to create high strength concrete used in the production process, as well as maintaining this equipment. What You’ll Do Follow all safety procedures, plant policies and Batch Plant work instructionsReport to Plant Manager any personnel, material or equipment issuesOversee/generate concrete mixes using batching equipment during shift that conform to specificationsOversee the collection of concrete batch dataCommunicate with QC department, engineering and plant personnel of any material variancesEnsure the batching equipment and surrounding areas are always kept cleanOperate heavy equipment to load materials such as rock and sandEnsure mixing equipment is being properly maintained as scheduledDetermine root cause analysist of operating/concrete problemsOversee proper raw material levels are being kept (aggregates, cement, admixes)Ensure all required records are being kept with access for others to reviewPerform other duties as required What You’ll Need >1 year experience of concrete batching and a knowledge of all aspects of concrete batching technology, equipment and methodsParticipation/lead plant safety and environmental meetingsObtain Batch Plant operator certifications such as ACI certifications.Ability to work well, lead and motivate others to achieve high product levelsAbility to use hand tools, power tools and electronic test equipmentAbility to work in an environment of various temperatures with exposure to chemicals such as cement, form oil and admixes.Knowledge of computers in order to run batching programs, Excel and Word documentsGood oral and written communication skillsAbility to maintain good on-time attendance MUS276
