Responsibilities
- Establish a culture that supports safety and conducts regular safety meetings.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state and company regulatory policies and procedures.
- Exercise discretion and good judgment in supervising subordinates.
- Interview, delegate responsibilities and tasks, conduct performance evaluations, coach, counsel, and discipline employees.
- Ensure the plant is open and ready for operation on time daily and capable of maximum production.
- Coordinate maintenance projects, service work, and repairs to minimize costs and downtime and ensure equipment availability.
- Manage material inventory and inspect materials for contamination and gradation issues.
- Utilize company processes for reporting, monitoring, and tracking of production and maintenance activities.
- Maintain quality and efficiency in batching operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent work experience)
- One year of management and batching experience; familiarity with production, equipment, maintenance, or quality control
- A.C.I. Certification preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Command Alkon, Command Batch, and Command Dispatch
- Willingness to travel and work away from home when necessary
- Availability to work nights and weekends as needed
- Physical activities: standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crawling, climbing
- Lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
- Effective presentation of facts and recommendations (oral and written)
- Proficient in reading, writing, and basic mathematics
Qualifications
Highly skilled in safety protocols and emergency response procedures. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software. Knowledgeable about industry regulations and best practices.
