About the Role

Kelly Services is seeking a skilled Batching Picker / Production Operator for our client in University Park, IL. We're looking for candidates with hands-on experience in batching and picking duties who have a strong and reliable work history in food manufacturing environments. This role is contract-to-hire, meaning talented and reliable performers have the opportunity to be hired on directly after the initial contract period. Responsibilities

• Learn all operational procedures for product creation per formulation guidelines
• Pick, label, and prepare ingredients for batching
• Maintain clean and safe work areas
• Receive liquid bulk loads per SOP, ensuring accurate measurement and documentation
• Record proper weight and measurements to maintain inventory balance
• Fulfill packaging requirements based on schedules/orders
• Accurately produce product batches and prep ingredients efficiently
• Present finished work orders and samples to Quality Laboratory
• Package products neatly with correct labels and lot numbers upon approval
• Ensure containers are clean and presentable
• Attend job-required training and follow all health, safety, GMP, HACCP, and SQF guidelines
• Complete other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager
• Strictly adhere to food safety and quality standards

Qualifications

• Experience in a food manufacturing/batching department
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to lift 25kg/50lbs regularly
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Strong English communication skills (verbal & written)
• Positive, hands-on, can-do attitude
• Food warehouse experience
