Basketball Assistant Coach (Girls)

About the role

The Basketball Assistant Coach will support the Great Neck Middle School Principal/SAC in overseeing the girls basketball program. Responsibilities include assisting with game preparation, player development, and team management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in game preparation and strategy discussions
• Support player development through individual and team practices
• Manage team logistics and communication
• Collaborate with the head coach on team building and morale

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field
• Minimum 3 years of coaching experience at the middle school level
• Experience with youth basketball development
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Passion for working with young athletes

Skills

• Knowledge of youth basketball rules and regulations
• Ability to motivate and inspire players
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

The salary range is from $30,000 to $35,000 per year.
