About the Program

The Allentown School District Athletics Department aims to ensure that the athletic program is an integral component of the educational program. Participation in sports and extracurricular activities offers far-ranging benefits, enriching school culture and climate, fostering stronger school spirit, and increasing academic performance. The program provides students with opportunities to promote physical well-being, enhance self-confidence, build school spirit, and learn values such as teamwork and sportsmanship.

ASD athletic programs are designed to meet students' interests and abilities, offering a varied scope to attract wide participation.

Requirements

• PA Background Check
• Child Abuse Clearance
• FBI Fingerprinting (only results from the Department of Education will be accepted unless otherwise indicated)
• School Personnel Health Record, completed by a licensed physician, including:
  • Results of a recent physical examination
  • Tuberculin testing
