Basic Production Worker

Essential Functions

• Maintaining a clean workstation and production floor.
• Assembling products and parts.
• Following production guidelines and specifications.
• Finalizing and packaging products for shipment.
• Operating and maintaining machinery and production line equipment.
• Monitoring the assembly line and removing faulty products.
• Working on the production line and meeting production targets.
• Reporting any issues to the supervisor on duty.
• Performing other tasks as assigned.

The Utility Position

• Responsible for department clean up.
• Work in department production positions.
• Operate production machines and equipment, including forklifts.

Job Duties

• Must have general knowledge of each job in the department and perform these jobs to reasonable production standards, as needed.

Work Environment

• Constantly moving around plant to remove debris, occasionally clearing steps or catwalks of debris.
• Standing / Walking / Twisting / Bending / Crouching / Climbing / Balancing / Crawling.

Education and Experience

• Desired -- High School Diploma or equivalent, prior experience in manufacturing especially wood products, as well as prior experience operating production machinery and material handling equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
