About the role
Jamaica Cottage Shop Inc. is a premier builder of fine post and beam buildings like tool sheds, cottages, tiny homes & woodsheds. We are in need of an individual willing and able to work in various departments throughout the company.
Responsibilities
- Read a tape measure
- Use a speed square/skill saw
- Identify lumber species
- Understand basic math concepts
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Meet physical demands and adhere to a fast-paced environment
- Adhere to all safety protocols
- Safely lift 50-75 lbs without issue or concern
- Work with full dimensional rough sawn hemlock and pine lumber
Requirements
- General carpentry experience
- Basic math knowledge
- Good written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet physical demands and fast pace
- Adherence to safety protocols
