Bartender - Woodstock Opera House

Job Summary

The City of Woodstock is seeking a limited part-time Bartender/Concessions Attendant with the Woodstock Opera House and Stage Left. No experience is required for this entry level position - we will train!

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service via concession services and bartending for the Opera House and cafe facilities.
• Work in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform various shifts and schedules, including Thursday-Saturday evening and daytime shifts, Sunday afternoon shifts, and flexible hours.
• Work up to 20 hours per week, with hours varying from 3.5 to 5 hours per shift.
• Work evenings starting between 5pm and 6pm and ending before 11:00 PM for most events, and daytime shifts starting between 11am and 1pm and ending before 6:00 PM for most events.
• Be available during October - December, the busiest months for the Opera House.

Requirements

• High school diploma/equivalent with previous customer service work experience which includes cash handling.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must obtain BASSET/Servsafe certification within 30 days from date of hire.

Qualifications

Variety of shifts and schedules are available, including evening and daytime shifts, and Sunday afternoon shifts. Flexible schedules are offered, allowing for work as little as 1 shift a week.

Benefits

• Gross hourly wage of $15/hour + tips.
• Potentially earn $20 - $35/per hour with combined base wage and tips.
• No additional benefits with the exception of Accrued Sick Leave - earn 1 hour for every 40 hours worked on a prorated basis and available for use after 100 calendar days of employment.

Gross hourly wage of $15/hour + tips. Potential earnings range from $20 - $35 per hour.
