About the role
This position involves interacting with guests in a natural, friendly demeanor, cultivating regular guests and repeat business, suggestingively selling beverages and menu items, delivering food items and beverage orders promptly, prioritizing and organizing drink orders, consistently preparing beverages according to standard recipes and venue specifications, recording any equipment failures or safety hazards, recognizing when guests are becoming too intoxicated, maintaining HOB safety and sanitation standards, performing opening/running/closing duties, preparing guest checks, processing payments, maintaining bartender bank, performing cash pulls/check outs, and occasionally working special events.
Responsibilities
- Interact with guests in a natural, friendly demeanor
- Cultivate regular guests and repeat business
- Suggestively sell both beverages and menu items to guests at the bar
- Deliver food items and beverage orders promptly
- Prioritize and organize drink orders
- Consistently prepare beverages according to standard recipes and venue specifications, abide by all control systems
- Record any equipment failure and/or safety hazards in bar log
- Recognize when guests are becoming too intoxicated and refuse further service of alcohol in a courteous and safety-minded manner, bringing it to the attention of a manager
- Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance alcohol awareness training and HOB alcohol policies
- Maintain HOB safety and sanitation standards
- Perform Opening/Running/Closing duties according to HOB policy
- Prepare guest checks (on point of sales terminal) and process payment according to HOB policy
- Maintain bartender bank
- Perform cash pull / check out procedures
- Maintain appropriate Comp and Spill checks
- Occasionally work Special Events that are scheduled throughout the venue
Requirements
- Must have a state or county license or equivalent certification for Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training
- Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
- Must have skill in interpersonal communication and teamwork
- Must be physically able to pass a pour test and a mixology drill (timed)
- Must be able to deal with intoxicated guests in a positive and safety-minded manner
- Must have tolerance for all cultures, music, and art forms
- Must have experience recognizing valid ID's
- Must have experience in a live music environment
Qualifications
- Preferred 4 years work experience in high volume environment
- Must be able to work late hours
- Flexible schedule
- Cash handling experience

Benefits
The expected compensation for this position is $15.97 USD hourly. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
