Bartender / Server

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Bartender to join our dynamic Food and Beverage team at Le Méridien Chicago - Oakbrook Center. Located near the Oak Brook Shopping Center, our hotel offers easy access to Chicago's cultural and entertainment venues.

Responsibilities

• Serve beverages and/or food to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Prepare beverages for other servers to supply to guests.
• Act as cashier for the bar, handling cash and credit card transactions using the point of sale system.
• Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar, including requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, and produce based on daily functions.
• Maintain stock, cut, and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, document orders for drinks, and mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes while practicing prudent portion control.
• Maintain accurate records of all cash and credit card transactions.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience as a Bartender.
• Food handler and TIPS certification (or equivalent).
