What Success Looks Like
- Welcome guests, take orders, answer questions, and recommend cocktails, beer, wine, and nonalcoholic beverages.
- Prepare and serve beverages accurately and efficiently according to established recipes, presentation standards, and portion controls.
- Enter orders and process cash, credit-card, room-charge, and gratuity transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
- Verify identification, monitor alcohol consumption, recognize signs of intoxication, and follow all responsible-beverage-service requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of beverage offerings, ingredients, allergens, menu items, promotions, and daily specials.
- Set up and stock the bar with liquor, beer, wine, ice, glassware, garnishes, mixers, and supplies; monitor inventory and communicate shortages.
- Prepare garnishes, mixers, juices, and other ingredients needed for service.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized bar, including bar tops, service wells, equipment, glassware, coolers, storage areas, floors, and mats.
- Accurately document spills, waste, complimentary items, voids, and product transfers.
- Complete all opening, ongoing, and closing side work, including restocking, cleaning, removing trash and recycling, securing products, and preparing the bar for the next shift.
- Work collaboratively with servers, barbacks, bussers, culinary and banquet team members, and managers to provide timely, seamless service.
- Assist with Food & Beverage and banquet setup, service, breakdown, restocking, and cleanup as business needs require.
What You Bring
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- At least one year of related bartending education, training, and/or experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, cocktails, bar equipment, liquor laws, and responsible alcohol service.
- Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale system and accurately process guest payments.
- Strong guest-service, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to remain composed, attentive, and accurate in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and bend, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull supplies and equipment associated with bar service.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and property events based on business needs.
- A valid Riverside County Food Handler Certificate and California Responsible Beverage Service certification are required.
