Bartender PT

Responsibilities

• Drink Preparation: Mix and serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes or customer preferences.
• Customer Service: Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, take drink orders, and engage with customers to ensure their satisfaction.
• Stock Management: Ensure the bar is well‑stocked with supplies, monitor inventory levels, and inform barbacks when supplies need to be replenished.
• Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized bar area.
• Safety and Compliance: Check identification to verify legal drinking age, adhere to all local and state regulations regarding alcohol service, and ensure responsible alcohol consumption.
• Customer Interaction: Provide recommendations on drink choices, engage in light conversation, and handle any customer complaints or concerns politely and professionally.
• Bar Setup & Breakdown: Set up the bar before opening hours, ensuring all supplies and equipment are ready for service; clean and organize the bar after closing.

Qualifications

Prior bartending experience is ideal but not required.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have ability to take directions and effectively perform the work.
• Must have basic working knowledge of cash register.
• Must speak and understand English well enough to converse with customers, supervisors, and employees.
• Must have a pleasant personality and a neat appearance.
• Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of shift.
• Must be able to carry and lift at least 40 lbs., according to industry standards.
