Responsibilities
- Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees.
- Greet and welcome all guests and members.
- Perform massage and bodywork services according to Spa service standards.
- Create custom treatment plans for guests based on individualized needs.
- Maintain product knowledge of services provided and within the menu.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of treatment rooms.
- Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Listen to, understand, and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests.
- Multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
- Attend all hotel-required meetings and trainings.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
- Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Maximize efforts toward productivity, identify problem areas, and assist in implementing solutions.
- Handle problems effectively, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving issues as necessary.
- Understand and apply complex information, data, etc., from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
- Cross-train in other hotel-related areas.
- Maintain confidentiality of information.
- Show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
- Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
- Adhere to strict hygiene standards due to close proximity with clients; cigarette smoke is not allowed on hands, clothes, or breath during a shift.
Requirements
- Licensed Massage Therapist required.
- At least 1 year of spa massage therapy experience required.
- SNHD Food Handler Card and TAM/AA Card required.
- Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
