About the role
A Music Hall Bartender at Live Nation Entertainment is responsible for serving guests food and beverage within a high volume, fast-paced, and often loud music hall environment. Key duties include maintaining line of sight/atmosphere control, following safety and sanitation standards, assisting other employees, prioritizing and organizing drink orders, preparing beverages according to standard recipes, and ensuring responsible alcohol service.
Responsibilities
- Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through your work area during shift
- Follow House of Blues safety, health, and sanitation standards
- Assist other employees as needed
- Follow opening and closing procedures, checking out with manager on duty
- Adhere to all HOB policies and procedures
- Interact with guests in a natural, friendly demeanor
- Suggestively sell menu items to guests
- Take and deliver food and beverage orders promptly
- Prioritize and organize drink orders
- Consistently prepare beverages according to standard recipes and venue specifications, abide by all control systems utilizing liquid measuring tools for consistency
- Record any equipment failure and/or safety hazards in bar log
- Recognize when guests are becoming too intoxicated and refuse further service of alcohol in a courteous and safety-minded manner, bringing it to the attention of a manager
- Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance alcohol awareness training and HOB alcohol policies
- Prepare guest checks (on point of sales terminal) and process payment according to HOB policy
- Maintain bartender bank
- Perform cash pull / check out procedures

- High School diploma or equivalent
- Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent
- Cash handling
- Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs. using proper lifting techniques
- Physically able to pass a pour test and a mixology drill (timed)
- Ability to deal with intoxicated guests in a positive and safety minded manner
