Job Title: Bartender Job Summary The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages while delivering exceptional guest service in alignment with The Sea Pines Resort standards and Forbes Travel Guide expectations. This role ensures a clean, organized, and engaging bar environment while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with all beverage service regulations. Essential Functions Guest Service & Experience Greet guests in a warm and professional mannerProvide attentive, personalized service and anticipate guest needsTake beverage orders and make recommendations based on product knowledgeEnsure a clean, organized, and visually appealing bar area Beverage Preparation Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standardsMaintain consistency in drink quality, presentation, and portioningVerify guest age and comply with all alcohol service lawsMonitor guest consumption and practice responsible alcohol service Operations Accurately enter orders into POS system and process payments (cash, credit, room charge)Maintain bar inventory levels, restock supplies, and notify management of shortagesComplete opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, and cleaningFollow all health, safety, and sanitation standards Teamwork Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and leadershipSupport team members to ensure smooth and efficient serviceAssist with training new employees as needed Qualifications Previous bartending experience preferredKnowledge of basic mixology, spirits, beer, and wineStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentMust meet legal age requirements to serve alcohol Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 30 lbsFrequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions Work Environment Fast-paced Food & Beverage outlet environmentIndoor and/or outdoor settings depending on outletMust be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Preferred Qualifications Experience in upscale or resort environmentKnowledge of craft cocktails and beverage trendsAlcohol service certification (TIPS or equivalent)
