About the Role

The Bartender provides excellent service to all guests who approach the bar, prepares and pours drinks, and keeps the bar area cleaned and stocked at all times as required by policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a seamless guest experience.
• Prepares ordered drinks with proper portions and ingredients such as wine, mixed drinks, specialty cocktails, shots, and related bar service to guests at assigned stations.
• Expedites drink orders quickly and accurately.
• Serves refills upon request and follows up for additional beverage requirements.
• Possesses a keen sense of timing and adjusts service pace discreetly as necessary.
• Mixes drinks according to prescribed recipes; keeps station stocked with liquor, glasses, and accessories.
• Accounts for all beginning cash register bank, cash, complimentary drinks, and charge receipts.
• Maintains low beverage costs through resourceful use of beverages, fruit, and supplies.
• Demonstrates knowledge of beverages, glassware, and garnishes.
• Maintains a relaxed and upbeat demeanor in a fast-paced environment with loud music and constant distractions.
• Communicates and collaborates with support staff to ensure the bar is properly stocked and prepared for operations.
• Maintains inventory at established par levels.
• Exhibits an exceptional personality, hospitality-driven attitude, and professionalism.
• Handles numerous tasks simultaneously in a highly organized manner.
• Takes initiative in a VIP-driven and guest-service-focused environment.
• Works effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Maintains a "sense of urgency" for completing responsibilities and tasks.

Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in a high-end, service-focused environment.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to stand or walk a minimum of eight (8)-hour shifts and work inside the assigned bar area.
• Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend, climb, and carry objects as necessary.
• Must be able to lift and carry 25-50 pounds.
• Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year based on business volumes.
• Must provide documentation authorizing work in the United States.
• Must maintain ANSI-approved Food Handler Card and Responsible Beverage Service certificate recognized by the ABC.

Qualifications

• Preferred minimum of two (2) years of experience in a contemporary dining restaurant.
