Bartender (Guy's)

Responsibilities

• Prepares and pours drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipe and presents drinks to guests or food servers as required.
• Mixes drinks according to prescribed recipes; keeps station stocked with all liquor, glasses and accessories necessary.
• Maintains cleanliness of the bar throughout the shift.
• Cleans any spillage at the bar throughout the shift.
• Ensures that all service items and stock is prepared for the shift.
• Completes assigned side work as directed at beginning, during and ending of each shift.
• Provides personalized service and uses guests’ names and preferences.
• Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines.
• Operates a POS, ringing the proper amount into the register and giving the guest, server, or cashier/host the correct change and accounts for all beginning cash register bank, all cash, complimentary drinks and charge receipts.

Requirements

• Preferred: High School diploma or equivalent; previous bartending experience required.
• Effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner.
• Able to work from a standing position for extended periods of time.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs. frequently and up to 60 lbs. occasionally.
• Able to perform tasks such as grasping, finger dexterity, hand-eye coordination, hearing, and using visual inspection.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, multiple tasks to be handled under time constraint.
• Able to handle a heavy business volume, and sensitive situations relating to staff and guest problems, in a timely manner.
• Able to work in areas containing dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibration, crowds and air quality.
• Able to be flexible with schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
