Job Responsibilities
- Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests.
- Answer telephone.
- Post charges (i.e. room, food, telephone), compute bill, collect payment, and make change for guests.
- Maintain room availability; Block rooms.
- Program wake-up calls.
- Handle guest mail and messages.
- Perform check-out services.
- Open and close shifts making cash drops as necessary.
- Prepare cocktails in accordance with standard beverage recipes.
- Wash glassware as needed.
- Prepare and serve bar food items.
- Auxiliary in the set-up and closing of the bar using provided checklists.
- Complete daily inventory prep sheet.
- Properly record all sales transactions and secure accurate payment.
- Familiarize and be knowledgeable of current food and beverage offerings, including wine lists and cocktail menu.
- Provide information pertaining to hours and available services of the hotel and surrounding areas.
- Auxiliary in maintaining the cleanliness of the lobby, front entrance, railyard and surrounding areas.
- Auxiliary in checking all lobby fixtures, equipment and conditions (lights, heating/cooling, furniture, wallpaper, etc.) for proper operation, settings and maintenance.
- Report deficiencies.
