Bartender: Bar 58 is looking for a service-oriented bartender with mixologist skills to join our team at our Fairfield by Marriott New York Manhattan/Central Park Hotel. Bar 58 is a fun and vibrant Lobby Lounge located in the Fairfield Inn.

Responsibilities

• Take care of guests both behind the bar and in the Lobby Lounge, seeing every guest as their guest.
• Responsible for the sanitation and cleanliness of the bar and beverage preparation areas.
• Provide excellent service to all guests while mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as fine wine, cocktails, beer, and appetizers to our guests.
• Upsell and promote substitutes based on our selection of offerings.
• Craft delicious beverages with consistent standards, focusing on quality and efficiency of service.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Have accurate cash handling and payment processing.
• Be a team player both within the Lobby Lounge and the hotel by being observant in meeting the needs of all and prioritizing appropriately.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in a bartending role, crafting specialty cocktails in a high-volume, elevated food and beverage organization.
• Extensive knowledge of beer (including Lagers, Stouts, Ports, IPAs, draft, etc.), wine (including different varietals, regions, and food pairing), coffee, tea, and spirits.
• Proficiency in math and cash-handling skills.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
