Bartender - Dinner Shifts

Reports to: General Manager
Responsibilities
- Present the drink menu, make recommendations, and answer guest questions about food and beverages.
- Take orders, promptly serve food and drinks, and check in with guests regarding their experience.
- Upsell whenever possible.
- Record drink or food orders accurately and immediately into the POS system.
- Accept and process guest payments and make correct change as applicable.
- Fill in as a server as directed to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operation.
- Maintain inventory and bar supplies; assist in restocking and replenishing.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the bar area (counters, tables, equipment, floors, etc.) at all times.
- Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion.
- Wash and sterilize glassware as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine, including recipes, history, base ingredients, and jiggers.
- High school education required; hospitality or other degrees are a plus.
- Minimum 1‑year experience in the restaurant or customer‑service industry preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand and exert well‑paced mobility for periods of up to 5 hours.
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds.
Schedule
This is a part‑time, hourly, non‑exempt position. Hours may vary each week and schedules are not set or guaranteed. Weekend availability is a must. Ideal candidates will be available Thursday – Sunday, 4 pm to close.
Compensation
$19.50 per hour.
