Bartender
About the role
Join the Guest Experience team at the iconic Francis Ford Coppola Winery! As our next Bartender, you will prepare beverages while providing excellent service and guest experience for all pool and/or restaurant guests across the property. Seasonal cocktail rotations as well as creating a fun and positive experience for all guests included!
Responsibilities
- Mixes and serves alcoholic beverages based on requests and orders
- Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner
- Anticipates business levels for each shift and replenishes bar inventory and supply as needed
- Promotes upselling of products and House Wines
- Understands and communicates promotions and events occurring at the Winery
- Continuously looks for ways to improve service, streamline efficiencies and maximize revenue possibilities
- Ensures the Front-of-House is presentable to guests at all times
- Complies with all food and beverage regulations
- Ensures the bar area is presentable at the end of each shift
- Handles cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register
- Develops new cocktail recipes
- Checks guest’s identification and confirms compliance with the legal drinking age
- Affirms guest needs and preferences and makes recommendations
- Delivers beverage and food orders placed by servers and delivers meals and drinks to the restaurant guests
- Responds promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and requests
- Assists servers with side work including, but not limited to, cleaning, stocking, polishing silverware, glassware, folding silverware, bussing, and resetting tables
- Maintains cleanliness of work areas throughout the day by clearing, collecting, and returning food and beverage items to proper areas
- Other duties may be assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years restaurant experience
- Bartending Certification and proven bartending experience
- Certificates and Licenses: Must be at least 21 years of age, TIPS Certification or Certified within 90 days of employment, CA Food Handlers certification required

Pay
The pay range for this position is $16.50 to $23.03. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
