What you will be doing:
Responsible for providing beverage service within Fairmont & Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards. Areas of responsibility will include and are not limited to the following:
- Adhere to daily checklists and duties
- Perform daily preparation for bar service, including but not limited to picking up liquor, beer and wine
- Create storeroom requisitions and stocking bars and service stations accordingly
- Prepare garnishes, syrups, fresh juices, and all other preparation work that will assist the bar team for the daily service
- Utilize culinary skills to prepare garnishes, infusions, syrups, and other elements that enhance the overall cocktail experience
- Maintain an organized inventory of bar ingredients, spirits, and supplies, and manage ordering and replenishment as needed
- Ensure that all food and beverage items are fresh and of the highest quality
- Ensure bar and service stations are properly set up with necessary equipment and regularly replenished with necessary supplies: alcohol, garnishes ice, dishes, and utensils
- Maintain glassware supplies for the bar tenders by washing glassware and polishing as required
- Create an exceptional food and beverage experience by delivering high-quality products and engaging service
- Ensure that bar area is clean and all equipment is functional
- Manage recycling and proper disposal of empty bottles and waste

- Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods for all food and beverage venues on property
- Adhere to the State of Hawaii & EHC (Environmental Health Consultancy) food handling safety standards
- Organize time so all side work is completed according to shift demand
- Maintain an atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guests
- Focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Your experience and skills include:
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process
- Must be service oriented and capable of communicating effectively with persons involved in all levels of authority, both internally and externally
- Must possess basic computational ability
- Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail functions
- Must have basic beverage knowledge (wines, liquor, beer and classic cocktails)
- Must be able to multi-task, be organized and be detail-oriented in a fast paced, high volume environment
- Must have ability to work independently and to prioritize or seek clarification in prioritizing work assignments
- Must possess superior guest service skills be a strong team player
- Maintain a professional working environment and attitude
Education
- High School diploma (or equivalent) and/or vocational training
Experience
- A minimum of one year of food and beverage experience is required
- Previous culinary or bartender experience is an asset
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred
- Must have basic knowledge of beverages, mixology techniques, and drink recipes
Licenses or Certificates
- TB Clearance required
- Maui County Liquor card required
- Food Safety Certification or ServSafe Certification required

$22.60 hourly rate
