Bartender-05 - INT – 6658

Duties

• Prepares alcoholic or nonalcoholic drinks following a variety of established and complex recipes.
• Serves patrons directly or delivers to wait staff.
• Ensures bar is in a presentable and sanitary condition.
• Maintains an adequate stock level and sets up storeroom and work area to permit easy access to stock items.
• Washes bar equipment, glassware, and utensils following proper sanitation procedures.
• Stocks services bars as required.
• Responsible for the proper operation of the bar, receipts, and inventory accountability.
• Takes inventory and maintains records on drink and liquor demand.
• Accepts money, operates cash register, and makes change.
• May prepare documentation for cash funds accountability.
• Completes required training in serving alcohol beverages.
• Identifies and addresses unruly or intoxicated patrons according to established procedures.
• Adheres to safety regulations and uses required safety equipment.
• Promptly reports workplace hazards and injuries.

Qualifications Required

• Experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale, including knowledge of various beverages and ability to combine ingredients.
• Experience recognizing and addressing intoxicated or unruly patrons.
• Experience with proper cash handling procedures.
• Ability to stoop, stand, and walk for long periods.
• Physical ability to lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Appropriate minimum age to work with and serve alcoholic beverages.

Preferred

• Two years of experience as a bartender.
