Initial Placement

Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves beverages, following standard practices and recipes.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of work and guest areas.
• Maintains par levels of operating supplies and equipment at all bars and canteens, replenishing as needed in accordance with procedure.
• Maintains stock of paper products on storage shelves.
• Communicates supply orders to Food & Beverage supervisory staff, in a timely manner.
• Picks up and delivers supplies from Food & Beverage storeroom and receiving dock.
• Administers bartender breaks.
• Monitors guest consumption of alcohol, intervening as needed according to established practices.
• Operates the POS system to reconcile sales.
• Maintains cash drawer, balancing at shift end.
• Cohorts beverage service with cocktail servers to maintain an efficient service flow.
• Attends departmental and company meetings, as required.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and speak English.
• Ability to understand and perform duties in accordance with: Hollywood Casino Aurora Core Values, Departmental, property, and company policies and standards, Illinois Gaming Board requirements, Sarbanes-Oxley, internal Controls, Ability to perform basic mathematical operations, including calculating discounts, interest, and commissions and apply to practical situations, Ability to maintain HCA identified responsible alcohol service certification, Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, Physical mobility with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 30 lbs.
