Barista Supervisor (Starbucks)

About the role

The Barista Supervisor will assist the General Manager in executing store operations and creating the Starbucks Experience for customers.

Responsibilities

• Acts with integrity, honesty, and competence, promoting Starbucks culture, values, and mission.
• Create a positive learning environment through clear, specific, timely, and respectful coaching and feedback.
• Recognize and address changes in coworker morale and performance.
• Train new team members.
• Conduct inventory and execute promotions.
• Maintain operational standards during high volume or unusual events.
• Follow cash management policies and ensure proper cash management practices.
• Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products and ensure coworkers do so.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by connecting with customers, understanding their needs, and responding appropriately.
• Identify and address issues, concerns, and opportunities within the store environment.
• Oversee opening and closing duties.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Barista experience
• Strong customer service skills in retail and/or hospitality
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to learn quickly, build relationships, and communicate effectively

Physical Requirements

This position involves physical demands including standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods.

Travel Requirements

Little to no travel required outside the property and surrounding areas.
