About the role

The Barista Shift Supervisor oversees daily operations at a café, ensuring tasks are completed according to policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct associates during shifts, providing training and creating work schedules.
• Evaluate employee performance, recognize high performers, and address performance issues.
• Prepare reports on production or sales for management, ensuring quality, safety, and productivity standards are met.
• Serve as the primary contact for employee concerns, requests, and grievances.
• Mentor and develop staff, encouraging goal-setting and career growth.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a similar food service environment is required; supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle employee relations and motivate team members.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends.
