Barista | Part-Time | California Exposition & State Fair

Responsibilities

• Cash register sales by taking orders, building orders, and completing the transaction.
• Build orders, prepare custom espresso drinks, and have knowledge in all areas of concessions operations.
• Maintain stock and supply levels and communicate the low stock items.
• Concessions Stand Manager responsibilities include listening and responding to customer requests or concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including but not limited to disposal of garbage & cleaning dishes.
• Serve beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages, responsibly.
• Check guest’s ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify the minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior Barista experience is required.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Three or more months of experience in the food service industry preferred.
• Ability to learn to operate a cash register and corresponding system.
• Excellent interpersonal skills & a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers & guests.
